Writing Goals: Six Traits of Writing

Setting goals are so important for all writers to do but can be challenging for many students. Most students do not even know where to begin when it comes to setting writing goals. This resource guides students through the process of setting writing goals with a focus on the six traits.

The checklists give the writer the goals they should be focusing on within each trait. The blank goal templates allow more freedom for students to customize or expand on their goals once they have met the goals and have further developed as writers.
